Frequently Asked Questions

Solely by participant count — the number of employees enrolled in your plan at the start of the plan year. Nothing else changes the base fee.

You'll receive a customized checklist after signing up. It covers payroll records, plan enrollment data, contribution records, and statements from your recordkeeper. Most HR teams pull this together in 1–2 hours.

Yes. We communicate directly with your recordkeeper and TPA for data requests. Your team doesn't need to facilitate or follow up with them.

No — Form 5500 preparation and filing is handled by your CPA or plan administrator separately. We deliver the signed audit report that attaches to the filing, and we coordinate with whoever prepares your 5500.

8–18 business days from the date we receive your completed document list. Measured in working days from receipt of all required information — not from the engagement start date.

We'll tell you exactly what we need and in what format. If records need significant cleanup before we can start, we'll flag that upfront so there are no surprises or mid-engagement scope changes.

The flat fee covers the full audit engagement. Additional fees apply only if the client cannot provide a complete, audit-ready document list by the agreed date, resulting in delays. We'll tell you this before you sign.
